KIds and Mentors Outdoors (KAMO) State President – Duties/ Expectations

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age, pass a background check, be willing to be a volunteer, and drive to some events during a calendar year.

Job Description: (from bylaws) –
Shall have supervision, direction, and control of the affairs of the organization. The president shall preside at all meetings of members. He/she shall make a report of the general business during the previous year. The president shall appoint members of a selection committee for filling vacancies.

Minimum expectations:
Lead in a ?servant leader? manner
Return phone calls, emails, and other correspondence from members.
Attend convention (March – Stevens Point), maintain contact with leaders of chapters.

Suggested Starting Points:
Review kamokids.org website, the KAMO state Facebook page, read the bylaws and policies our group has established, call some people from each chapter and introduce yourself, ask questions.

Goals of KAMO:
Each chapter has a need for mentor recruitment
We would like to establish new chapters
